The stills were rebuilt in 1962 to exactly the same dimensions as the originals, dents included, because nobody was willing to find out what would happen otherwise.
The spirit
Long fermentations and slow distillation, which is a polite way of saying we run at about half the speed we could. It buys us a fruitier new make and it costs us volume.
Visiting
The tour crosses a working floor. It is loud, it is warm, and you will taste new make straight off the spirit safe.
