Find a producer worth the drive

Every winery, distillery and roaster on DrinkCard is reviewed by our team before it appears. No pay-to-list.

Book a real time slot

Live capacity from the producer's own calendar. Confirmed instantly, cancellable under the policy shown before you pay.

Or give it away

Buy the experience, not a gift card. They pick the date that works — good for a year.

The whole list reads in one sitting — short on purpose, so every room on it is worth your drive.

Still open

Open this week

Seats still open in the next few days at wineries, distilleries and breweries. Prices are per guest — when the seats are gone, they are gone.

All 25 open slots

Availability comes from the producer’s own calendar and updates as guests book. Picking a time takes you straight to checkout for that slot.

Gifting

A better present than another bottle.

Answer three things and we’ll show you what fits. We send a single-use claim link with your note — they pick their own date, with twelve months to redeem, and you can see when it’s been claimed. Unclaimed at twelve months, it refunds in full.

What we check before it goes live

  • They make what they pour

Production on site or under their own control — no tasting rooms reselling someone else's juice.

  • Someone on staff hosts it

The winemaker, distiller, roaster or a trained member of their team — named on the listing.

  • The photos are the actual room

Shot in the last 18 months, on the premises. No stock, no other producer's barrels.

  • The price on DrinkCard is their price

No booking markup, and no upsell required to get what the listing describes.

  • It holds a 4.3 after 10 visits

Fall below and we pause the listing, talk to the producer, and re-review before it returns.

Most declines are the same three things: the producer doesn’t make it, the host is a hired guide, or the experience is a queue at a bar.

From the table

Only guests who showed up can review.

A review unlocks after the producer marks you attended. Producers can reply, but they cannot edit, hide or buy a review — and we publish the ones that sting.

    Attended

We were six strangers on a working floor, and by the end the distiller was pulling new make off the still for us to try. You cannot buy that in a bottle shop.
  • 5.0

    Attended

The winemaker poured two vintages of the same wine side by side and suddenly I understood what a hot year actually does. Best afternoon of the trip.
  • 3.0

    Attended

The roasting itself was excellent, but they ran two groups at once and we lost the instructor for twenty minutes. Worth it at $60, not at $95.

    Reply from Foxhound Row Roasters

Fair. We've run the workshop as a single group of three since April.

Who you will meet

The person pouring is the person who made it.

Not a hired guide with a script. Here are three makers hosting this month — and what they’ll hand you.

Good to know

Before you book

The four things people write in and ask. The binding version is on every listing, above the pay button.

Age

21 to taste. Any age to attend.

Every guest drinking must be 21 with photo ID at the door. Some producers welcome kids and dogs on the grounds — the listing says which.

Changes

The policy shows before you pay.

Every listing carries one of three cancellation policies. Flexible refunds in full up to 24 hours out; moderate and strict say exactly what they mean — never hidden in terms.

Gifting

They pick the date. 12 months to use it.

You buy the experience, not a balance. They get a claim link, choose a time that works, and go. Unclaimed gifts refund in full.

What we sell

Time with the maker. Never bottles.

We don't ship alcohol and take no cut of anything you buy on site. What you spend in the tasting room stays with the producer.

Everything else people ask

Booking & changes

Is my booking confirmed straight away?

Yes. Every time slot on DrinkCard is live capacity from the producer's own calendar — there's no request-and-wait. Your seat is held while you check out, and you get the address, the host's name and a calendar file the moment you pay.

What if the producer cancels on me?

Full refund to your card, automatically, whatever the listing's policy — a producer cancellation is never your problem. We'll also point you at the nearest open dates for the same experience so rebooking is one decision, not a search.

Can I add guests after I've booked?

If the slot still has seats, yes — the price is the same per guest as when you booked. If it's full, the listing shows the next time with room for your whole party.

Do you take groups larger than eight?

Most rooms seat six to twelve and every listing shows its maximum party size. For something bigger — a buyout, a team, a wedding party — write to us and we'll ask the producer directly.

What does the price actually include?

Everything the listing's Includes section names — the pours, the boards, the take-homes. Prices are per guest, there's no booking fee on top, and nothing on the day is required to get what the listing describes.

Gifting

What does the recipient actually receive?

A claim link with your note. They create an account, confirm they're of age, and pick the date and party size that suit them. You can see when it's been claimed.

Can they swap it for a different experience?

A gift buys a specific experience — the recipient picks their own date, not a balance to spend. To change the experience itself, write to us before it's claimed.

What happens if it's never claimed?

It refunds in full after twelve months. Nothing is reserved until they claim, so no seat sits empty waiting.

On the day

Is food included, and can you handle diets?

When food is part of it, the Includes section says exactly what. Dinners and pairings can handle most dietary requirements with notice — the listing states how many days the kitchen needs.

Can I bring someone who isn't drinking?

Yes — book them a seat like anyone else. Several producers pour zero-proof alternatives, and coffee, tea and zero-proof experiences are the whole point of some listings. The listing's notes say what's available.

How do I get there, and how do I get home?

Your confirmation includes the address and parking notes. These are working farms and warehouses, mostly outside town — plan a designated driver or a car service, and give yourself daylight for the gravel.

Are the venues step-free and accessible?

Some are, many aren't — working cellars and still houses have steps, gravel and uneven floors. Every listing carries an access note written by the producer covering parking, terrain, seating and restrooms; read it before you book, and write to us if anything is uncertain.

What should I wear?

Closed shoes for anything on a working floor — the listing says when it matters. Cellars run cold even in August, and the terrace experiences are honest about weather.

Trust & producers

How are listings vetted?

A person on our team visits, books and reads every experience before it goes live, against the standard published above — and listings come down when they stop meeting it.

Can producers pay to rank higher?

No. There are no promoted slots, no placement fees and no commission tiers. A flat 12% on completed bookings is the only way we make money, and ranking is rating, recency and fit to your filters.

I run a tasting room — how do I get listed?

Apply with your story, your photography and one experience you'd host yourself. A person reads it — expect questions — and if you're approved you keep your calendar, your prices and your guest relationship. We turn down most of who applies.

Still unsure about one experience in particular? Every listing answers for itself — policy, access and what’s poured, above the pay button.
